Driver’s License Renewal in Italy

Your driver’s license must be renewed at different intervals depending on the license category and the driver’s age.

The main purpose of this procedure is to verify that the driver is still fit to drive. As drivers get older, medical checks become more frequent in order to ensure road safety.

Driver’s license renewal in Italy consists of a medical examination carried out by authorized doctors to confirm the physical and psychological requirements needed to drive.

The expiration date of the driver’s license always coincides with the driver’s birthday.

Payments

Two payments are required: one to the Ministry of Transport and one as a stamp duty. GR Servizi will handle the payments and the entire procedure on your behalf.

Medical examination

We book the medical visit required to verify your physical and psychological fitness to drive and obtain the necessary medical certificate.

Delivery

You will receive your new driving licence directly at your home or at our office within 15 days after the medical examination.
