Foreign driving licence conversion
Yes, but only if a bilateral agreement exists between Italy and the country where you obtained your licence. You can check this on the Italian Ministry of Transport website or contact us directly.
In general, within 6 years from your first registration as an Italian resident. For holders of Albanian, Argentine, Swiss or Ukrainian licences, the deadline is 4 years. Once this period has passed, conversion without a driving test is no longer possible.
Yes. The foreign licence must have been issued before you established your residence in Italy. A licence obtained after moving to Italy cannot be converted.

Driving licence renewal
The expiry date coincides with your birthday. The renewal frequency depends on the licence category and the driver's age.
You need to make two payments (to the Ministry of Transport and for the stamp duty) and undergo a medical examination. We handle the payments, book the appointment and deliver your new licence — to your home or at our office.
The new licence is usually delivered within 15 days of the medical examination.

We translate driving licences, certificates and official documents into and from the main European languages. Translations can be simple or certified (sworn before a court), depending on the intended use.
Yes. Our translation is sworn directly before a court, making it valid for submission to the Civil Motorisation Office and for any official purpose.
